We’re well on our way to the middle of the semester; so most of you should already have a feel of our organization. CompSAt, however, doesn’t run on its own. There are people behind the scenes making sure that you get the best org experience possible. We asked them a few questions about themselves and what they think of CompSAt. We present to you, the awesome geeks of the Executive Board and Associates Council!

President

 Meet the President, the Face of CompSAt. Nothing happens without the Prez’s knowledge. The President oversees all organization activities and operations and represents CompSAt to the Office of Student Activities (OSA) and other organizations.

I’m the best because I’ve been a Mac user for six years now despite being an avid MMORPG gamer.

Executive Vice President

Being President isn’t a one-woman-operation. The EVP is there to make sure the President receives all the help that she needs. He is the Robin to the President’s Batman. They are Bonnie and Clyde, Mr. and Mrs. Smith. He assists the President in all administrative roles and assumes all responsibilities of the President in her absence.

Documentation and Publication

The department is there to capture every moment. Doc & Pub is in charge of coordinating the documentation of all CompSAt operations and activities, managing the CompSAt Archives, tracking the status of members, managing the org’s calendar of activities, and overseeing and updating the content of the CompSAt website and other social media accounts.

Vice President/Secretary-General

Name: Charis Christelle J. Go

External Affairs

Representation is everything and this department makes sure CompSAt looks good. EA oversees all operations and activities involving people outside of CompSAt: other orgs, other schools and universities, CompSAt alumni, Ateneo offices, etc.

Finance and Marketing

Money doesn’t buy happiness, but it doesn’t hurt to save for a rainy day. FnM take care of all things money. That includes fund-raising projects, budget proposals, and marketing.

Internal Affairs

What is an organization without its members? The Department of IA makes sure we all feel warm and at home and that we get an org experience as meaningful as possible. General assemblies, Community Night, and the Package System are only some of the things that this department takes care of.

Associate Vice President for Formation

Why did you choose to serve as an officer?
It seemed like something I wanted to try

What’s your favourite thing about CompSAt?
My favorite thing about CompSAt would be its members. They’re pretty cool. I don’t regret taking CS here in Ateneo because of the people I’ve met and probably the people I’ll meet through CompSAt.

What non-CS-related things do you like to do in your free time?
I like to sing, act, dance, draw, perform, solve, puzzles, model (once in a while), games and etcetera. Because of all those things, I really do believe that life is too short.

Why are you the best?
I have an innate ability to be the best in anything I set my mind to.

Logistics and Promotions

LnP takes care of two things: making sure there are people helping to run the projects and making sure people know about the projects being run. Basically, Logistics and Promotions oversees the manpower assignment and deployment, takes care of venues and equipment, and create all promotional materials.

I want to spread the passion I acquired to others. I want to let them see what CompSAt can offer them.

What’s your favourite thing about CompSAt?
The people. Such interesting beings… Oh and its potential services to offer to other people.

Browse graphic artwork, Dota2, MMO(RPG) or Casual Games, biking (pag-nauuwi ako sa province)

Tagal na. It’s because I’m surrounded with the best (and not to mention, interesting) people :))

Research and Development

And of course, what would The Computer Society of Ateneo be without our Computer Scientists? R&D focuses on: the development of computer-related skills among the CompSAt members; projects involving websites, software solutions, and information systems; and services to the community through technical support and/or provision of other IT-related resources.
