Beatrice Marie P. Danseco, also known as Bea to most people or Mami Bea to her freshies, is one of the most amazing people I have ever met – and I’m not saying this just because she’s my boss. As some of you might already know, she is currently the Secretary General of CompSAt. But aside from this, did you know that Bea is also an active member of Algorhythm, Wildcard, and ComPress?

Now, all this is good and well, but the thing that amazes me the most is the fact that she can give so much of her time, effort, and energy to so many things that I don’t think I’ll even be able to list them all.

Firstly, CompSAt. Bea is remarkably dedicated when it comes to the organization. Sometimes, I stay up till 1 or 2 in the morning finishing up on some things. But when it comes to org work, she usually stays up later than I do and doesn’t sleep until the work is finished—even if it means that she might get little or no sleep at all.

As her “mini secretary” (notice the irony), I think that this dedication extends to almost everything that she does. This is readily apparent when her obsessive compulsiveness takes over – in a good way, which is probably why she does such a good job as a Secretary General.

Secondly, her friends. With all the time that she spends on org work and academics, it’s nice to know that she sets aside special time for her buddies – and trolls them. So without further ado, here are a few comments from some of her close friends.

Angeline Nuguid: “Bea is the biggest troll I’ve ever met… And I mean that in a very good way. You’ll never feel bored if you’re with her because she seems to have a good comeback against everything you can possibly say. :>”

Faith Tango: “Bea is a fun person. She’s a certified TROLL (all caps please) and she’s deeply madly and truly in love with cakes. She’s kind of a workaholic, but she can manage. Oh, and Bea likes hedgehogs :>“
Ia Cabatbat: “Si Bea? ‘Ayos lang.’ Haha. Kidding. Binabalik ko lang yung catchphrase niya. Uhmm… She’s the greatest troll alive. :)) Super fun kasama. :>”
Justin Alonzo: “She’s a really fun person once you get to know her. Talking with her never gets boring because she can say so much. She’s beautiful inside and out, she cares deeply about her friends, and super pretty niya palagi. She’s also a great singer. Basically, she’s awesome ♥♥♥”

Moira Lozada: “A DITCHER 😐 🙂 ) kidding. She’s a really good friend to be with. She has this sense of responsibility that I really admire and I can count on her whenever. She’s not open to everybody but you’re really lucky once she starts opening up to you. She’s more than what she seems and gives more than what you expect. She really is a mommy even if she denies it. When she makes a promise, she sticks to it no matter what! That’s why we’re really lucky to have her as our secmob. Love you Mami :)”

RegineRegino: “The saying ‘appearances can be deceiving’ can be applied to someone like Bea. At first, you would think that she’s the type of person who’s really quiet and shy, but she’ll prove you otherwise once you get to know her. She has really weird interests, like teasing people and hedgehogs. Aside from her talent of persuasion, she’s really passionate when it comes to org work because it’s something she enjoys doing.”
Third and last, herself. Now, sandwiched in between org work, acads, and time between her friends, family, and whatnot is time for herself. Seeing as the article is about the member of the month, I might as well tell you some things about Bea…if only I could.

I can’t, you see, because she’ll read this once it gets published and I could get trolled – to death, that is.

Just kidding.

If you want to know more about Bea, become her friend. She’s one of the friendliest people that I know, at least from my experience. But one thing’s for sure, once you get to know her, you won’t regret it one bit; even when you’re getting trolled, it’s worth it.
