Select*: #CompSAtMoments

A handful of CompSAt members tweet about the moments that marked some of the highlights of their CompSAt experience. Ladies and gentlemen, #CompSAtMoments.

CompSAt, like all the other accredited orgs, has its own org room (which is shared with AECES). To the people outside, the people in the CompSAt org room will sometimes look like a bunch of geeks. Laptops on the table, chargers getting tangled up, and copious amounts of freshly delivered fast food paint that kind of picture:

Of course, being the home organization of Computer Science majors, some of us can’t help but fit the stereotype.

Not all #CompSAtMoments happen in the org room. One of the events that members look forward to the most is CompSAt’s Tambay Week. During Tambay Weeks (yes, with the ‘s’), members hang out during their free time and bond over board games, console games, GDs, and other activities.

Special occasions (like the holidays) call for a more extravagant event in CompSAt, and this is where parties come in. A lot of members look forward to these parties, since it’s an opportunity for them to get to know each other more.

However, it’s not always about parties and Tambay Weeks. Some members also hone their leadership and time management skills by being part of the core teams of CompSAt’s projects.

What makes a CompSAt moment? Some tweets have nothing to do with parties and tambay weeks.

It’s not the project. It’s not the event. It’s not the org room. It’s the people. It’s the “interpersonal relationships”, as psychology would call it. It’s the quirks and the chemistry. It’s the corny jokes and the lame puns. It’s the laughter. It’s the community as a whole.

And now, I’d like to know…what are your CompSAt moments?
